Main

The goal of our research is to effectively teach the theoretical and practical foundations of electrical power engineering and electrical engineering. We consider issues of production, transmission, distribution, and efficient consumption of electricity.

This is implemented to activate the account, increase the attractiveness of the learning process, and develop not only professional but also psychophysiological abilities of the specialist (memory, logical thinking, attention, will, appearance, concentration, reaction speed, associative thinking, endurance, self-control, etc.).

Our methods are used by schoolchildren, students, workers in electrical engineering, and teachers at various levels. This is not only a technical, but also a pedagogical problem that is solved in the field of engineering pedagogy.

In particular, the professional game "Professional" is based on the well-known principle of competitiveness and the development of players' abilities. For example, 64 cards are offered, on which 32 images are duplicated, most characteristic of the electric power industry. The "shirts" of the cards are the same. The cards are laid out on the playing field with the reverse side and a group of students (10-20 people). It is proposed to turn them over in turn to find identical images. The winner must collect the maximum number of identical images, and the overall rating, for example, of a bachelor's student, is determined by their result. In addition, a systematic game consolidates special knowledge and determines the general level of training of each student.

The developed professional games were implemented in the educational process of NTU "KhPI" and other educational institutions of the city of Kharkiv. Game technologies were used by educational complexes for training and testing specialists in the field of electric power in the Kharkiv region and some regions of Ukraine.
